Weekly Report (Well that was intersting....)

Okay, for those of you in the know, know that power was interrupted by a spot of wind last week.

At the moment, I have two extra peoples living at my residence because they have no power, no hot water, and internet.

The Christmas Concert that was suppose to take place this last weekend was canned do to no power and as of this moment, my church is still without power. So...

No real developments from last week to report. Amendments may be added...

Oh, right. The first full day of blackout, we (The infamous We) went to Kent Station to watch a movie...that's the short version. Long version involves a long wait, a closed theater and a sold-out show. And we had food at a Johnny Rockets; it was pretty good food, but they were extremely busy.

Anyways, later.

Okay...I'm not busy (AKA Update of the Week)

Time for this weeks update:

Christmas Production #1: DONE! (See amended notes for details)
Christmas Production #2: Standing by
Christmas Production #3: Also Standing by
Maya Project (UB): In works. Need to finish UVing and then translate them to other models.
Writing: Hmm...about that...
LAN Party: Being finalized.
Firefly Watching Party: In development

Christmas Production #1: They say that Murphy's Law is that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. O'Neill's Theorem is that Murphy was an optimist. O'Neill was right.

Okay, first: Snow. The big snow last week (well, two weeks now technically) canned the Tech Practice. Okay, fine...we're still good...

Next...The big Saturday one...many, many things go wrong on the Sound and light side (by the way, I do Video) and it's delayed for a bit. Oh, and one of our cameras isn't back from the shop. Okay, it's a pain, but we can live with it...

Tuesday/Dress practice. Apparently, the camera we were waiting for isn't back still...but it was a good practice. Things are looking up. Lights took awhile, but it's done. A new head (part of the tripod) for one of the cameras and a unipod (monopod) for the remote camera arrive (YAY) and they are working good.

Thursday/Make up Tech. Okay. We're in a bad situation. Camera is back, but it lacks the color green. For the non techies...that's a non good thing. An anti-good thing. Think Zombie vision. That's what it looked like. We're cut to two cameras, so we have to redo our tech script. Sigh. It's a pain, but we'll struggle through it.

Friday/First Show: We're hosed. Seriously. The lightboard's CPU (see life/heart/brain) burned out. So all the lights are gone. We rent a board and Adam spends the day redoing all the lights. Note that people have been driven to the edge doing lights with our setup. We managed to get everything reset for a fifteen minute delayed show. Sigh. Wow, you think.

Saturday was better but it was still out of sorts. This time though, we had drained the problem bucket dry. No real issues and a decent show. All in all, a nice Christmasy thing.

Thank God that's all behind me. Oh wait...two more shows (School and Concerts)...

The Grand Return/Arrival/Revive

I have internet.

Okay, I moved into Covington in later October, and have been fighting idiots since to get internet.
And today, I have it.

In other news...many things have been happening. But I'll get to that later.

Pirate Day! Arrrrr!

My pirate name is:

Black Jack Flint

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

To the Edge of Sanity...And Back Again?

Okay, recent events at my internship/church forced me to go where no Mes have gone before.
I had to go...to the Mac Store.
Horrifing, isn't it?

The G5, which I have crashed on occassion, died. It died a smelly, sudden death by power supply.

For those of you that have had this happen to them, you know what that could mean...but nevermind, back to the story.

So, yesterday when it died, we were discussing what to do, and we called up the Apple Support People. Well, I got to talk to them...and the only thing worse than having to get IT support from someone that doesn't know the machine, and who is simuataneously trying to sell you something, is when that someone is doing it in a really thick accent.

Anyways, the adventure continues, when today, after I was told that by my "supervisor" "Kevin", he would take care of the whole thing, it turns out that he didn't, in fact have time, so I had to. And I found this out at 1400 (2:00 PM)

Now, in order to better detail what happens next, I'm going to have breach my identiy just a bit: I live in western Washington, in Central to East King County. Which meant that, after calling and figuring out where the parts were available, I had to go to Bellevue's mall, Bel-Square (or however it's spellt), from Renton. Which meant I-405. And anyone from around here will tell that the Devil's number isn't 666, but 405, or 520, or 167.

Anyways...so, I finally made it to the Mall, and entered. And almost instantly got lost, and drugged as I entered through Nordstrom. I managed to find a kiosk with direction, and finally, seeing as no giant penguin affliated with Grand Penguin Tux was coming to my aid, I entered...a new world.

I resisted running, but managed to lose a hundred dollars (US), which I should be recompensated soon, and eventally hauled in the forty pounds (US) of G5 into the store. Where, they told me that it should be done with tomorrow.

Anyways, that's to story. So now I ask the question: Is there a way to ctrl+Z going to the Mac Store, or do I need a shower and a fresh install?

Monthly Update: May

Okay, just so all my readers know:

-TBQelite's data has been returned via "Yatara". Don't ask.

-Having free time does wonders for your creativity.

-McDonalds really screwed up my order today. Ordered a BaconCheese Burger...and it came without the burger. Literally. There was no burger patty in it.

That's it.

Breaking News: Data being held hostage

I recently snapped.

It was a long time in coming, and many things factored in. However, I can do one thing about one of them: I kidnapped the data that was staying on my harddrives as a guest for TBQelite.

Here is the (incomplete) letter to him

So it happened. Your data is taking up too much of my hard drive space. So now instead of being given guest statis, it had being downgraded to hostage statis and well not be returned until you have met my demands.

I want:

-****** *******
-******
-******* ******** **** (********)
-* ******
-******
-*******'* *** **
-More ***** *** *****
-More ****** **** *****
-One ******* billion ******
-A *** party

You can exempt one from the list...

-Th3 3\/1l_ H4xx0r 0f d00/\/\1!!!11!11

lolz.

---

So...if TBQelite wants his precious data back, he better meet my demands or...I'll keep his data FOREVER!!!! Or until I really need space. :)

Spring Quarter

Day marks the day that Sring Quarter starts at BCC. And...I don't have much to do. I'm in one class that meets once a week, but hopefully I'll be getting an internship here at the college doing photoshop stuff.

Later.
